On October 11, Virtus Bologna president Claudio Sabatini expressed his hopefulness in the ongoing NBA lockout.

According to the Los Angeles Times Kobe Bryant has not made a decision if he would play oversees on a pay-per-game basis.

Italian, Turkish, and Chinese teams hoped this off-season Kobe Bryant would join their squad. Don't expect that to stop anytime soon. With the NBA canceling the first two weeks of the regular season, Virtus Bologna owner Claudio Sabatini stated that the NBA's loss can be Bologna's gain.

"We are delighted that they have not yet reached an agreement," Sabatini said. "Stern's dissatisfaction was the source of great joy for us."

Sabatini said that, "two offers had been made by Bologna to Bryant, with one to make a one-off appearance and the other for a longer-term deal."

The  long term deal would involve a 30-day contract covering ten matches for a fee of 2.4 million euros which is equivalent to $ 3.3 million dollars.

Whit the possibility of the lock out extending past the 2 weeks, do you think Kobe should take the money and play for 30 days?
